    https://www.gov.uk/housing-benefit/overview https://www.gov.uk/council-tax-reduction

read the above links to take into account your own circumstances - you CAN get HB (and CTB too) if you are classed as having a low income, dependant on savings etc... :tinysmile_grin_t:

as you will be seen as voluntarily unemployed, you will be unable to claim JSA for up to 26 weeks. Your HB and CTB will not be affected by you being unable to sign on - they are a separate benefit.. I would advise you to contact your local Job Centre or CAB to seek advice on this issue tho' - they will have all the up-to-date details/regulations.

          Sassa,
Can you give a bit more detail about the offence, and also about any disciplinary action that has, or is about to be, taken.
If you do not want to post the details on open forum you can always send a personal message.
          Personal messages are never disclosed.
How long have you worked for your employer.
          Is this you first offence?
Once we have details, we can advise you in more detail.
As Kati stated, you might not be able to claim JSA, but there are other benefits that you can claim.
          Income support for example.
If you have dependants, then benefit for them is not touched.
