  • Team on Consultation - New roles advertised not as per proposed organisation chart

The team has been shown the proposed organisation chart. In the proposal there is a "team A " manager at vice president level. On the recruitment listings there is a vacany for "team A " manager at senior vice president level.

This role at this level does not appear on the proposed organisation chart - are there any legal issues on this?

ie The at risk team have not been presented the full facts and therefore procedure has not been correctly followed?

As I see it, the organising chart, is at a proposal level., so it's not been adopted.
So if you have concerns, then you voice your concerns, and reject the proposal.
Now what procedure are you referring too?
I would suggest you take the proposed organisation chart, to whoever is responsible, and tell them your concerns over the omitted details.
See what the answer is, it could have been a genuine mistake.

Depends on what outcome you want, and what proposals you are prepared to accept.

Assume the at risk group wants to drag it out and also mess up the line managers plan allowing the group more time...

We are putting this question to HR and see what they say. A few members would like to see the process dragged out

My company has just changed the proposed structure... it was one manager with ten direct reports...now they have split into two teams of four with team leader each. Is this enough to restart consultation?

Wait until you get an answer from HR, then decide.

What is the purpose of having four teams?
