ACAS are wrong on this one. They have to give you notice equal to the length of the holiday (as per my link). In any event, evn if ACAS were right and you were going on holiday on the 1st August they would still have over a week to revoke the authorisation.
Constructive dismissal is INCREDIBLY hard to prove. And in my very humble opinion your case (if you did bring it) would be laughed out of court. Actually, it wouldn't even get to court.
