  • Redundancy Advice

    Hi,

I've just been given the news everyone dreads, myself and few co-workers have been told our jobs are under threat and we are entering a 30 day consultation period before some of us are laid off.

What i am requesting information about is regarding the companies handling of all of our information.

They have given us the names of the other people involved to all other people involved, including given our names to everyone on the shifts affected.

Does this violate any kind of confidentiality that should be in place as we have to sit through the process with everyone knowing our business and its humiliating tbh.

Are there any links anyone can post or any advice to be given?

    Thanks in advance.

probably not as it would be covered in most contracts in the section about sharing information with 3rd parties.
Unfortunately you will only be able to re-act once a decision has been made, and only then if it is breech of contract or employment law.
