  • When are you commited to a term of employment

I have just handed in my notice at my current employer, and have an offer of employment in the shape of an verbal offer from a recruiter, but also a welcome pack application form which I am yet to return to my new company.

I have a couple more interviews planned for next week, and I am keen to attend at least one of them, but I am wondering if I was in two minds and the company next week made me an offer, could I accept and walk away from the one which is pretty much now done and dusted.

Any advice on this would be very much appreciated.

If you haven't signed a contract or anything, you could still walk away, people often do it, a welcome pack doesn't constitute a contract. The recruiter would obviously be upset and probably wouldn't want to hear from you again, but there are many around.

    Apologies for not replying earlier

Any news about the interviews this week?
