      Actually got a similar one that says "Smokers will be severely beaten around the head and body"!
      The only thing is I am five foot one, he is a bit bigger than that!

        I think the local fire and rescue service would have something to say if they came round on an unannounced inspection, as they can and do, and caught this volunteer smoking inside a building with the sort of materials Dogtired has described in situ.

        If tact and diplomacy does not seem to be having the desired effect, adopting the subtle approach of placing a fire extinguisher next to them whenever they light up might get the message across.
