I have been looking up without prejudice but wondered what exactly what it means in straight forward meaning - does it mean without liability?

Re: what does it mean
From a legal perspective, it means that any 'discussions' which take place under the 'umbrella' of 'Without Prejudice' cannot be admitted into evidence in court.
Usually it is qualified by the term 'save as to costs', which means that, once the case has been concluded, the outcome (Award) can be adjusted accordingly.
However, if the 'without Prejudice' arrangement is found to be be tainted with, eg., bad faith, misrepresentation, etc, then the court can override the privilege.
