I can't really see this - Why bother?

More likely they want to find out the whole extent of the issue.

She should definitely speak to a Trade Union to help her.

Only just read this and have to say, resigning was the best option in my view. The thing is they should move on as this will get nowhere and could backfire big time. What they done was theft, try and call it something else, but truth is they knew exactly what they were doing. Move on, they got caught and had a lucky escape.

Have to agree with above unless they are going to fight the theft allegation time to call time and move on

Sorry I have not got back-just another family crisis unfolding. Anyway, my SD was "invited" to put in a grievance complaint and this was done on the 2nd August with a 14 day to reply inclusion. We were just about to get back to them having received nothing and a letter arrived saying they invited her to put in a grievance and they had not had a reply. In other words her original letter has gone astray. We have just replied by recorded delivery with a copy of the original attached and this time given them 10 working days to reply. It was going to be 7 but with the bank holiday we want to be seen to being fair. The other person involved also put in a complaint and did get e reply, the contents of this reply I have not been privy too. So we now have another wait on our hands!!

My SD has just asked for her P45 to be told that they sent it ages ago and cannot re issue it, the story is the same with her collogue. two P45 going missing is difficult to accept but on top of our original letter to them doing the same, something isn't right here?

I am afraid I cannot see the point of blaming the company, they got caught thieving, they are so lucky the company have not got someone who is clued up, as if the police were involved, your SD is nicked full stop. There is a point where you either accept you did wrong or you try to blame someone else, this could go so wrong, am I missing something here?
