  • Employment Tribunal

Good morning, I wonder if you can help again please. What can an Employment Tribunal do if the 'Respondant' doesn't turn up or respond?

declare the claimant to have won because the respondent has not pursued its defence of the claim

thank you that makes sense. I suppose getting the compensation off the 'respondent' is another matter though

Yes, but the decision of the ET can be transferred into the county court for enforcement

And once at the county court you can apply for a warrant of execution to get the court bailiffs to attend the defendants premises to remove goods to the value of what you are owed.

              Re: Employment Tribunal

hello, just wanted to update in case your interested. The Employment Tribunal has today awarded my son full amount of his claim as the respondents have failed to respond. Apparently he has to wait for this in writing before the final push. Am I right this is a request for the case /outcome to be transfered to the County Court where action can be sought to use bailiffs to collect the outstanding money. The claim is against two individuals not the company.
Thank you for your support and replies.
