One day it's a secretary who wants to wear trousers to work - then it'll be someone who thinks nothing of having metal spikes in their forehead or a bone through their nose.

      It's multiculturalism gone mad !

Our business is on a Garden Centre complex, plus we have a farm as well, we all come into work in jeans, a couple of times in summer one of the girls (aged 45) has come in wearing a short skirt, high heels and a boob tube, I told her in no uncertain terms that its not a fashion show and if she falls over on the uneven car park in the heels its her look out, plus if the cows get out its all hands to the pump and everyone has to help get them back in the fields, not easy in a short skirt.

If she were to fall backwards, her knickers would get muddy.

          Or wasn't she wearing any?

I decline to use those feed lines, as the joke would be downright rude.

                      Re: Office Dress Code Question

Is it so outrageous to expect staff to come to work dressed neatly, tidily and not as though they are going clubbing?
What's so bloody wrong with expecting men to wear trousers and a shirt (with or without a tie) and for women to wear skirts that don't skim their arses? It's WORK,,not a fashion parade,,and ,as a 50yr old woman myself,I have more self respect than to wear clothes suitable for a teenager.I have big boobs and I wouldn't dream of having them hanging out on display in a top that's more suitable for a woman half my age..And SHOES,,not TRAINERS..SHOES !!!

It's discriminatory. It discriminates against Scots and other celtic peoples who prefer the freedom of a philabeg (link) as well as against males afflicted with gender dysmorphia who want to be girlies.

But a kilt is not a pair of trews, is it?

So, if you'd let a man wear a "skirt", why forbid a woman from wearing trousers?
