  • Unfair redundancy

    Hello,

My girlfriend is employed by xxx where she is subcontracted by yyy on a permanent basis (subcontract cleaner) she has worked at yyy for just short of 2 years where yyy pay xxx the money and xxx then pay my girl. She got made redunt (without pay) by yyy as she has to be there 2 years, now a fellow employee at yyy has now taken over her roll as cleaner, they no longer use sub contracter to do the job, the person taking the roll over has worked at yyy for 3 weeks prior to redundancy, at which point xxx was told they are no longer doing the job and that a new employer for yyy is taking over.

    is this all legal?

    thanks
