Kitty, everything will be about whether you have breached procedures, which you appear to have done. Whether they will say that you made it worse by replacing the money may be an issue but we are hopeful it will not.
Until you have the letter outlining the disciplinary meeting and worst case scenario, ie dismissal then the job for you is to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. We hope for you that it is a final written warning but you have to prepare yourself for the worst outcome, so, time to hassle you
Is your CV up to date?
Is it written?
If you were dismissed, do you have the finances in place to deal with that?
If not, are you aware that you may still be able to claim state benefits, ie JSA and Housing Benefit/Local Housing Allowance?
Have you looked for any alternative jobs out there at the moment?
