Quite surprised at ACAS chosen tact with this, when there was a much simplier way to substansiate your position. In short, in a tribunal with the burden of proof needing to land square in the others sides lap in order for you to be succesful - The argument would surely be:

Unfair dismissal, you are being discriminated against because of your length of service.
People who didn't warrant a notice period or any notice pay were dealt with summarily, and you were almost constructively dealt with because of your length of service and the financial implications of treating you without your rights being affected.
You would only have to prove a comparitor to prove your claim>

You were treat one way as you were entitled to financial recompense

All the others that were treat a different way because it didn't attract financial settlements

In both instances it is a clear violation of employment rights and someone with this womans obvious lack of understanding of employment law should not have been put in a position of working for (what I am assuming is a branded brewery) and treating people like this.

In my opinion - This is where your strength lies, its not what its worth to you, its what its worth to them ..... Can you say "Class Action"

When I worked in the licensed trade many many years ago it was standard practice to make all staff redundant when the manager changed.
