  • employer not paying for work done through agency?

Bit late with this but thought I would try to get some advice here. I worked as a locum doctor and the agency has not paid me for work done. I have contacted the hospital and they are happy to pay for the work done but it has to be through the agency. Even though it was almost 6 years ago but not over 6 years I think the agency will just drag it out over the six years, collect the money and then not pay me. Is there anything that can be done about it from a legal point of view? Can I file something in court in the next few days that will at least get me time to resolve this with the agency? The agency have not replied to my last few emails. Thanks in advance.

If you are chasing the payment for work carried out by an agency nearly 6 years ago then you are very out of time for doing anything via an employment law route even if you could have proved your employment status at the time.

The only other possible option I can think of is to bring a County Court claim as this can be made against a person or a business. I have linked to the relevant gov.uk site that explains how to do this.

There will be a court fee to pay depending on how much you are owed.

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
