  • Can I be made redundant if branch i work in is being rebuilt and will be reopened

    Hi everyone

I work for a social housing provider that is about to announce to tenants they are closing the scheme I manage to redevelop the site at which point tenants will have the right to return.
I haven't been informed of anything in terms of my continuing employment other than LM saying 'there will always be a job for you within the ....' (the organization) my question really is, if tenants have the right to return to same site (albeit redeveloped) shouldn't I have the similar option? I can't speak with HR as strictly confidential until tenants are formally informed.

I get the distinct impression I'll be offered internal transfer to another site or suitable role in org, which would be ok but I'd really like to return to the same site and role when it reopens.
Thanks in advance for any help.

How long will.the redevelopment, how long before your office there reopens?
