  • Remote working with Raynauds syndrome

My job can be carried out 100% remotely. My contract states office attendance at least 2 days per week. The office environment is not central heated and in a basement so naturally feels colder. 3 oil filled heaters available but not really adequate to create constant warm temperature. I've had Raynauds since childhood. My fingers and toes are effected when sat still and in cold. I tend to work from home in winter. Management are putting pressure for my attendance. I have issued GP letter but they are advising that if I don't attend, they will start a disciplinary process. Any advice? No issue with my work performance and my line manager constantly praises me to Management due to my knowledge and experience.

Have you suggested that your employer arranges for you to attend an occupational health assessment?

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.

Thank you. No I haven't as the organisation does not have an occupational health dept. I have advised HR and my line manager of my condition and flare ups when at work. I will suggest an independent occupational health assessment.

The majority of companies do not have an Occupational Health (OH) department but there are many companies who provide those services who can be contacted and arrangements made for you to attend a health assessment.

Please make sure that the obtain all the relevant consents from you.
