  • Fit note received 4 weeks ago

    Just looking for advice
I have an ongoing permanent health condition which my doctor has given me a fit note for for purposes of claiming universal credit.
I received this 4 weeks ago and submitted to DWP.
I am currently working but my condition is causing me difficulty in working.
My dr won't issue a new fit note as I do currently have this one that states I am not fit for work
Would i be able to hand this fit note into my work even though it's 4 weeks old?
The fit note is for 3 months.
    Thanks in advance

Are your employers aware of your health condition? You can hand it in but be prepared to explain the delay as your employer may question it.

If it states you are not fit to work then why have you been working for the last 4 weeks?

Does your employer know that you have been working whilst signed off from work or have you not told them??

You need to hand it to your employer as soon as possible and you should not attend work.
