  • False medical certificate

I worked for the fire brigade in England for 7yrs, up until Spring this year.
About a month ago, they sent me a HSE medical certificate for The control of aspestos regulations.
The certificate said that I took a medical examination in October 2022.
All my details are on the certificate, name, address, employer details and the address where I took the examination.
Not out the ordinary right? A firefighter taking an asbestos medical examination? No.
Except I didn't take any such examination. Never have while employed with them, and especially not on the date on the certificate. It's been hand signed too so can't be just an admin error.
So my question is why have the fire brigade, won't say which county, sent me a falsified medical certificate 4 months after I left the service dating back 2 years? And have they just handed me a silver bullet.

Also a side note, I left under a bit of a cloud and was going to take them to a tribunal for a separate matter but didn't want the stress anymore so didn't go through with it. Then a month later this certificate arrives. Which is why I'm a bit suspicious.

A silver bullet for what? Are you in litigation with them? If not then it feels like a 'so what' question. No idea why they thought you attended an examination that you didn't but how is it significant or relevant to anything? Send it back and tell them if you like. Sounds like you are out of time for a Tribunal claim anyway so that isn't a factor.
