I am looking for some help on appealing a failed Police Scotland vetting for Police staff. The reason for failing has been given as “adverse information coming to light during the vetting process relating to third parties”. I declared some minor incidents with family on the vetting form as that is all I am aware of. I have absolutely no idea who or what is causing an issue and this is so disappointing for me. I am looking to appeal but only have 14 days to do this. Can anyone offer any thoughts on how best to structure an appeal? Would character references help at this stage?
