  • 13 months after theft allegations

So, in March 23. I was sacked under allegations of theft.

I did go to employment tribunal for unfair dismissal.

I attended a voluntary police interview 13 months ago.

My solicitor was happy for me to just talk.

I've not heard anything at all in that moment. I want to state, I was accused of two amounts of theft. First over £11k. Then the other of £2k.

    the police was £2k.
I had evidence against this. The 11k was based on me stealing £98 a day ever day for 4 months in a shop that only took sometimes £130 in a day.

    That was ridiculous.

1 claim was i took a deposit in to my account with no one knowing, i had voice notes of the boss agreeing this was a fantastic idea, only if I didn't mind.

My solicitor was happy it would be a NFA.

they tried taking me to small claims court for £2k.

but forgot to pay the fee's, then dropped this whilst settling out of court for my unfair dismissal.

so is this normal to take so long. I didn't steal, and it was a way to get my high salary off the books in my opinion. Especially as the two people who made sudden allegations against me, which I had evidence against. Got jointly promoted to mangers ( my old position)

I kept chasing, but after 8 months I gave up

    I must add.

i took the emploer to employment tribunal *

And it's this post is asking if its normal to not hear anything for so long from police?

Especially as the accuser settled out of tribunal court, and withdrew the small claims too.

Even though I was accused, they didn't ask for any bank details to check my bank, only asking if I wanted to come in for a voluntary interview.

The shop even had cctv, and that had nothing as it wouldnt have.

I do not think this is an employment issue.

Are you trying to find out if you will hear anything back following your interview at the police station 13 months ago?
