Hi

i am a contractor and have signed a contract until July 2024 (this was previously extended).

I’ve been told that my contract is going to be terminated 6 weeks early as the program I’m working on has been stopped by the company.

i appreciate contractors take a risk to a certain degree but this is the first contract I’ve worked on that’s been terminated early.

I’m under an umbrella so don’t have liability insurance etc.

is there anything I can do?

What, if anything, does the contract say about duration and termination?

The assignment doesn’t say much. I’ve requested the contract and have gone into dispute with the umbrella on their advice.
