Support worker working with family..

Hi,

I'm new here, so hopefully it's okay for me to post.

Basically, i'm working as a support worker, it's a residential care home, there's 9/10 staff.

The manager brought an employee with them, the employee lives with the manager, she's dating the managers son and they both live in the same house.

I think this is not allowed, but i'm not 100% sure, i'd like to know where I Stand before i speak up and make up a complaint etc

Any advice would be appreciated

You should think very carefully before complaining. There is nothing I know of in law that prohibits this.

(1) Why do you think this would not be allowed and (2) why would you want to complain about it?

Is there more to this than you are letting on?

As per atticus I should be very careful about complaining based on what you've told us so far...

I'm guessing i won't complain then, it's minor things i guess, preferential treatment over the rota, but youd expect that if she lives with the manager and also the manager sides with her family if theres any staff argument or conflict, which again you'd expect but it does seem wrong, if i've got to accept it i would but morally i disagree with it
