As the person raising an aggrievance at work, should I have a copy of the repondants and any witness statements that were made? I was only briefly shown the repondants statement at the appeal, but we're taken away, and did not see any from witness statement.

The ACAS Code of Practice on grievance procedures does not grant a specific right to the employee to see witness statements or any evidence that is part of an investigation.

The employer has to balance the rights of the employee raising the grievance against the rights of those who have also been named in the report, and to whom it may also owe duties such as confidentiality, if that was the only basis on which it could obtain evidence.

So it may have been on that basis that you were not able to be given copies of any statements.
