  • Pregnancy Dismissal

I have been working for my boss for 8 years extending over two companies, last March exchanging from being paid from one company to another.

Myself and the owner of the company have been intimate on and off for 8 years. Now when I look back I believe there has been a controlling element emotionally from him.

In September I found out I was pregnant. When I told him he did not react well and when asking what would happen if I could not terminate the pregnancy he asked me to destroy the sim of the work phone, destroy the phone, delete all work documents and I can no longer access any work systems. He also stated we need to come to an agreement about money.

Although he never explicitly fired me, I believed from the above I have been dismissed. He also stated in the messages that the biggest mistake he made was trusting me and that I had destroyed that trust. He went onto say he was so angry and he does not know what he will do, and that he was suicidal. On reading this I just said if you need to fire me then okay I will step away. Mostly because the situation was esculating and I feared he response.

When I look back there are things that happened throughout the process and throughout my employment that was not okay. I am scared that I do not have a case as I agreed in distress.

Do I have a case? Or have I limited my chances. Thank you.

Sorry I have a few questions rather than answers at the moment.

Have you had any contact from the company?

Was the incident in Sept your last contact with the company?

Have you been paid your salary as normal?

Has a P45 been sent to you.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.
