Hi all, looking for some advice on this situation. I have resigned from my role and this month will be my final salary from that company. I used the cycle scheme in June 2022 (also used it previously with no issues) and it has come to light that payroll haven't made the monthly deductions from my salary at all and they have only just realised their error and now want to take the full amount in one lump sum out of my final salary due to their error. It's also been discovered that payroll never sent me a contract to sign with them agreeing the installment plan so as it stands effectively they own the bike if I'm correct? I'm happy to pay the installments via invoice but I'm not wanting to have hundreds deducted from my final salary from an error on their part and the sheer incompetency of them not even realising for 16 months. Where do I stand with this, especially since I haven't been given or signed a contract?

My first question would be as you have been in the scheme previously you would know that a monthly sum would be deducted from your salary. When this did not from June 2022 why did you not query this with payroll then?
Does the company have any published policy document regarding the Cycle Scheme? If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com
I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.
I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
