  • Do I have a case??

Hi, So I started a job at the end of May, Full time, permanent as said on the job advert. Everything going well. Until now My company has lost a big contract and put everyone that is under 2 years service on risk of redundancy (we are currentlyin 30 day consultationperiod). That's fine. OK I get that.. I haven't signed Any contract when I started, (despite paying NI & Tax) and I've been there nearly 6 months.. Boss mentioned it was 3 months probation other day when speaking to someone else. and no mention of any probation being extended - verbally or written. Are my employers in the wrong and do I have any case against them once I leave.. to make a claim?
I know of at least 5 other people who started at same time as myself who had no contract given - Job advert said full time permanent.

Full time permanent jobs are always subject to termination on notice.

You may have a claim for non provision of a statement of the terms of your employment, and you are entitled to a week's notice, but that's about it.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
