    Union on the take?

My union has recently renegotiated our contract and almost went to arbitration. The union decided to sign the contract offered by my employer when they realized how long arbitration would take resulting in a poorer deal. As far as I understand the union also received payments from my employer in excess of $10k that seemed to be earmarked for arbitration fees (I'm really not clear on this) which was subsequently used for "team building exercises" after we didn't go to arbitration. From what I've been told the union board took their families to a popular vacation spot for these "team building exercises.". The union will not talk openly about any of this.

    I'm in Wisconsin

1 What are the legalities of this?

2 Can I get union records? Are they public?

3 If this is actually happening what's the most realistic approach here?

    Thanks

Sorry but you are a UK legal forum. I doubt anyone here knows anything about the law in Wisconsin.

This UK forum often gets confused by search engines with a US forum with a very similar name. The two sites are unconnected, the similarity in names is just coincidence.

Is this US site the one you were searching for? https://legalbeagle.com/
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.
