    hi everyone
    just asking for some advise please
    i started working for a firm in November last everything has been payed on time etc unfortunately im suffering mental heath issues which come out of no were [im the last person to ever believe i would say that]
    few months ago now i started being affected by heath couldn't get out of bed didn't want to face people etc
    i had in total 3 days off at different times never got paid they withdrew out my wages.
    so health has put me on the sick unfortunately
    i have now been off six weeks i have received two payments [pay is every two weeks]
    my doctors note ran out on 3rd which was a Saturday my doctors do not give sick notes until the one you have has run out unfortunately you then have to wait up too two 3weeks for another one
    the sick not i have sent covers me from the day the last one ran out i picked my pay only 200 quid .
    there's other issues as well that seem to have come out the wood work regurding a 28 year old debt from dept woks and pensions apparently they have put an attachment of earing on my pay, it just never seems to stop any advise please.

    The starting point is what is your company sick pay policy, if they only pay statutory sick pay (SSP) then for 3 separate days off at different time you would not get paid for these day.

    For the six weeks you have been off then again if your company only pays SSP then the weekly rate from 6 April this year is £109.40, however an employer cannot withhold SSP if you are late sending your fit note in because the Dr has not sent it to you. The best thing would be to contact your employer and ask them to explain the two payments that you have received to see what they cover.
