    I’m being made redundant with no redundancy benefit as I’ve not been there long enough.
    I have been given a termination date of one month away and am on a garden leave of sorts.
    I have been offered a new job to start asap.
    Can I start my new job straight away whilst still being technically employed by my current employer for a one month overlap leading up to my termination date?

    I am sure that your employer will be amenable to early termination so that you can commence the new job.

        Most employment contracts preclude you having other employment without the employer's agreement.

        You would of course not be working for both.

          If you have been placed on garden leave then you are still an employee of the company up until your leaving date and during this time you have to remain available to work for your employer if they required you to.

          I suggest as per as atticus has suggested you ask if you can bring forward your termination date to allow you to start your new job.
