  • Missing wages/payroll issue

    Hello.
the company I work for has just messaged ALL employees stating its payroll system is temporarily down and we'll all be paid directly by bacs and then any overtime/expenses a week later and then by next month all will be back to normal.

    Neither of which has happened.
Am I within my rights to not work until I actually receive my money, or do I just have to keep working for nothing until they pay up?

I've a contract and am paye.

Have you raised this with your employer?

If you do not work, then at the very least you will not be paid for the time you do not work.

      Yes.

They're 'looking into it' which means I'll hear nothing.

Do you have any concerns about the company's financial situation at the moment?

When were you due to be paid?
