That letter raises issues other than those previously discussed. The clauses we were looking at are not relied upon. You should seek professional legal advice urgently.

Do you have legal expenses insurance cover, e.g. with a home or motoring policy?

NB, the letter is from a substantial law firm who know what they are doing. You should treat it very seriously.

Thank you for your reply. No I don't have any form of legal cover are the no win no fee solicitors OK to use in this situation?

Just to clarify do I need to respond to the questions in the letter by Monday?

I have been advised to contact acas in the morning. A lot of the statements mentiined are not true and I have proof they are not true.

You must consult a solicitor. If you can find one who will act on 'no win, no fee' terms, that would be wonderful, but I think it will be a long search.

If you do not respond, you have been warned of the possible consequences. Whether those consequences will follow is not in our control.

              ULA - anything to add?

Trudy1980 given the nature of what has now happened I have removed the documents in the relevant posts as there was indentifiable information in them.

atticus I agree with you the letter from the solicitor has detailed information that we were not aware of through the thread and does potentially cause an issue for the OP.

Trudy1980 yes you do need to respond to their letter by Monday as requested by them and I second the advice that that you seek speak to an employment law solicitor as soon as you can. If the timescales for you getting to instruct a solicitor are difficult for meeting the Mon deadline, I would simply on Mon acknowledge their letter and say that you are seeking legal advice on this issue and will respond in due course.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.
