  • Is it possible to be made redundant if your job title isn't in your contract?

So I have a somewhat strange situation. I joined Company X through the acquisition of Company Y. At the time, Company X wasn't sure what my role would be so wrote TBC down as the job title in my contract. I was informed last year that my role was viewed as temporary by an interim MD that was restructuring. He didn't get the permanent job but I am still at Company X. I have been moved around unofficial roles since and haven't felt secure in my job since and am now wondering if they are struggling to make me redundant since it is the role that becomes redundant and I don't "officially" have a job title. Is there any truth to this or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Try not to anticipate, but yes, the wrong tree.
You have a job role without the need for a title..

Redundancy relates to the job that is being done.
