  • Tribunal/Paralegal

    Good evening,
Hope this is correct place for post ,

I have a quick question if anyone is able to respond
I am representing my partner at tribunal under constructive dismissal case Gov body Trial date is set and there's been communications with the respondents Solicitor as per tribunal rules each has to copy each other into all correspondence to tribunal,
Today a Paralegal from the respondents side contacted the tribunal Quoting our reference number and asking the tribunal in his words
We have video evidence we wish to play at the tribunal and could it be forwarded in what format
I must add it was us at provided them with a copy of the grievance hearing and request to be played at tribunal a week earlier (although they would probably have access to there own)
It's bothering me why I wasn't copied into the email for the above and has the paralegal broken any rules by being 3rd party
    Appreciate any responses

    Hi STEVEN C

As long as the Orders made by the Tribunal are adhered to regards document exchange, I don't think it matters.
It's always good practice to copy in the other side into all communications with the Tribunal. The Tribunal will in some way
communicate that to the other party.

ULA Can you please take a look and advise, many thanks.

Can I just ask how do you become aware that the Paralegal from the Respondent contacted the Tribunal?

From what you have said, please do not be bothered, all they were asking the Tribunal for is the current procedure/format for the playing of video evidence at the hearing which is accepatable without you being informed. Not every "admin" type request to the Tribunal needs to be copied to the other party.

If you have any futher questions as you proceed through this process of supporting your partner through the Tribunal process just come back to this thread.

If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
