Thanks Ula, I have this afternoon been in contact with an Employment Law solicitor whom has requested a copy of the contract and getting back to me on Tuesday.
Just on what I told her, she commented that a geographic area should be there in writing, also the fact that unless my employer could prove that he would loose tens of thousands of pounds because of me starting a business then it would really not be worth his time/cost to take it any further. Will wait and see what she comes back with.
