  • Early conciliation figures

Hi all, I've brought a case against my employer (a county council) as after 6 years of poor treatment that only started after I fell pregnant, my mental health was so bad I felt forced to quit. We're currently in early conciliation through ACAS and they've asked what the figure I would be seeking through tribunal would be and what my settlement figure would be. I have no idea! I have looked at the Vento categories and they're so wide... I want this settled quickly, ideally without having to go to tribunal, but also don't want to do myself a disservice by offering a ridiculously low settlement figure. I realise without specific case details, it's hard to give advice, but I dont even know where to start! Citizens advice seems overwhelmed right now and legal a thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Did you belong to a union you could ask for advice ?

Perhaps ask them what they would be prepared to offer ?

Do you have any insurance which includes legal advice ?

An obvious baseline would be lost earnings.

Sorry there is not much information to go on although Scot22 has posed some good questions and certainly union or insurance if you have either would be a good way to go.

In the meantime can I just clarify:

Did you resign and claim constructive dismissal and if so is that the basis of your claim?

If not what are you claiming?
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.
