  • Resigning whilst under investigation.

I am currently under investigation for gross misconduct - taking products without payment ( previously created a thread regarding the issue)

I have since attended an investigatory meeting and was told that a second meeting would be arranged regarding disciplinary action.

I have been stressing over this issue since it begun. I am constantly checking my phone for any contact and it’s got to a point where I just want to call it quits.

I am considering emailing HR tomorrow morning informing them of my resignation, can I resign with immediate effect? Or does it have to be given with the notice period (one week in this case)?

    thanks for reading

So keep it all together rather than starting a new thread

Hi LarMun I appreciate that you are very anxious and stressed at the moment but creating multiple threads on the same issue means that those of us trying to help you are not finding it very easy to do so. I am happy to merge the threads together but you must please, just remain posting to one thread about this matter.

I do not know if you have actually resigned today. My view is that you should resign and give the notice that you are contractually required to give, particullary as it is only a week.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com
