  • Redundancy appeal

Hi, I appealed against my redundancy and have since had my hearing over 4 weeks ago. My former company did say they'd respond with an outcome within 10 days.
    Nothing..
14 days ago from today they came back to me and said they needed more time and would have the outcome by the following Monday at the very latest (05/10/20), still nothing.
Should I press them for information or are they just stalling me? This has already been a very stressful situation and is now really affecting my mental health and well being.
    Not good.

    Help please!

I would suggest that you write to the company, setting out the series of events and dates, state that this is having, understandably an adverse affect on your health and that having given them enough time to provide an outcome of the appeal you would like a response within 7 days and then state that date.

Are you intending on taking the matter further i.e. making a claim to the employment tribunal? If do you would have 3 months less a day from the date of termination of employment.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

Yes I have informed ACAS and well within the time frame so all good there.

With regards to making contact, whom should I contact and should I include anyone higher up the chain to get things moving?
They say because of the amount of content I said in my appeal they are conducting investigations so need more time to go through everything.
Just seems bizarre this is going on for so long..
