We finally have some good news!
My partner received an email from HR;*
"I write to confirm that with effect from 8th June 2020 your rate of pay will be amended from £xx.xx per hour inclusive of shift pay, to £xx.xx (exactly the same amount!!!!!) per hour on days. This increase is inline with you completing xx course. As requested please find attached a copy of your contract of employment and job description."
So they're saving face and make out like he's been overpaid because of a course he was doing despite this never being discussed. My partner doesn't care, he's not going to have his pay cut and he finally has it in writing.*
UNFORTUNATELY, he still doesn't have his JD because HR forgot to attach it to the email. Typical!
At least it's over with So relived for him.*
