    Hi, I worked for employer (A) for 3 years until November 2019 and then left to work for employer (B).
    I left employer (B) in March 2020 to go back and work for employer (A) starting on the 28th March which has now been postponed due to lockdown.
    I contacted company (B) to see if they would reinstate me and put me on furlough (as per goverment guidelines) and they have refused as they are not furloughing anybody.

    My question is, is it possible for company(A) to furlough me as i was on their pay roll prior to Feb 28th in November 2019?

    I am sorry to hear that your start with Company A had been delayed due to the current circumstances. My understanding is that unfortunately since you were not on the payroll of Company A on 28 February then no they would not be able to furlough you.

    The guidelines for the JRS are that if you were employed as of 28 February 2020 and on payroll (i.e. notified to HMRC on an RTI submission on or before 28 February) and were made redundant or stopped working for your employer prior to 19 March 2020, you can also qualify for the scheme if your employer re-employs you and puts you on furlough.
