    Hi if I agreed with my employer to terminate my employment on March 13th after 18 years can I now be furloughed*

      Thank you for the link. It gets slightly more complicated. Someone else had told me that. So I attempted to call the company a week after leaving and I was told they had gone into voluntary liquidation and still owed my my notice payment. As the notice pay was part of my termination agreement, would the termination agreement still stand *

        Was the 18th your official leaving date or was that your last working day and your termination date was at the end of your notice period at some later date?*

        I think your best course of action would be to find out the company dealing with the liquidation and contact them. You will need to explain the situation and i am not sure whether you will be able to claim from the government scheme which pay the monies, up to defined limits, for employees if their employer goes into liquidation or whether you will not be eligible for the scheme and will then join a list of other potential creditors of the business. *
