  • Employment law Question

I have been temping at small company since the end of January on a temp-to-perm basis. I have an underlying health condition of type II diabetes. Yesterday I put in request for home-working as I want to self-isolate to follow the government's strong advice. They told me they couldn't accommodate me and they had taken my request as my resignation. They allow me to think it over and message them last night. I messaged advising them in my view they had neglected their duty of care and in fact they were dismissing me. I decided to self-isolate today sent in my final timesheet whilst I self-isolate. They have told the agency that it was my choice to resign, I have not sent any resignation is tere any legal recourse foe unfair dismissal or neglect of duty of care?

It does not sound like you are yet employed by the company you are still via the agency. There is nothing that you can do except make sure your agency knows your version of what happened.*

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.
