Hi I am in a dispute with my employer. I have resigned due to a breakdown in relationship. The employer has issued me a bill for wages paid while attending study days. The courses were job related, attended during work hours and allowed me to complete my job more effectively. The courses were fully funded by external parties so the employer did not incur any costs for funding the courses but the employer has benefited from the training I attended. No training agreement discussions were had prior to commencing the courses so I was not offered to attend the courses unpaid for example. No training agreements were put in place prior to commencing the courses. I had numerous assignments revision presentations and exams all prepared for in my own time. Can they make me repay wages paid while attending training days??
Advice please - repayment of paid training time
