  • No holiday pay after leaving.

    Hi

I was working for a firm for 7 months before I decided to leave and pursue another job. I worked to my notice period and left in a respectful manner. I was originally paid for the month of December 2019. But fast forward, I’m yet to receive any further pay holiday. I have emailed the MD requesting holiday pay but I was ignored. I sent out an email outlining holiday pay and my entitlement and provided 2 weeks for payment. Again I was ignored. What are my rights and how to properly address this issue?

I presume this is holiday pay that you would have accrued during your 7 months employment but did not take as holiday?

If you have communicated twice and the final time with a timescale on response and you have heard nothing then I suggest the next thing to do is apply for early conciliation at ACAS which you can do online at the link below:

    https://tell.acas.org.uk/find-a-solu...oyment-dispute

You will need to start this claim at the very latest 3 months less a day from when your holiday pay should have been paid.*

I have originally taken 2 bank holiday and a further *4 days of annual leave. According to the gov.uk I’m entitled to 16.3 days of leave. I’m claiming for 10.3 days of annual leave which is over £900. I will start the process above and hopefully it yields something*

One question can I add interest to the amount owed?

You are claiming for an unlawful deduction of wages and I am not aware of interest payments being added to such a claim.*
