Hi, I have been working in my current role for just under 10 years. My employer has offered me voluntary redundancy (there is not as much demand for my current role anymore) or a new role within the company, with a new job title, on the same wage. They have said if I stay I will be issued a new Contract of Employment. I just want to check if this is correct, or should they just be amending my current contract? If they issue me with a new contract will it 'cancel out' my 10 years service on the previous contract, should I ever be made redundant in the future? Thanks!
