  • Suspension and my job advertised but I don’t know what I’ve done

I have been suspended from college after a third party accused me of using a sexist remark to students. I have yet to be informed of what I have been alleged to have said or to who I said it and I’m waiting on the investigation. My job has been advertised today. The suspension happened last Friday as I arrived in college. My wife is beside herself with worry and i’m Confused as to what is going on. Any advice please.

Sorry to hear about what has happened. Just some quick questions so that I can help you further:

How long have you been working at the college?

    When were you suspended?

Are you certain that it is your job that is being advertised?

If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

I have been there 4 years this is the start of my 5th. I am the only one in this role and the job fitting my exact role was advertised Wednesday. The college does not have scope at this time or for the immediate future to expand this subject. I was suspended last Friday. I still now do not know what it is I was alleged to have said.

Have you had any correspondence from the college in regard to the suspension?

You should by now, given it was a week ago, have been given written confirmation that you had been suspended that includes:

        · the reasons for the suspension and how long it is expected to last

        · your rights and obligations during the suspension. For example, that you should be contactable during normal working hours

        · a point of contact (such as a manager or HR) and their contact details for you during the suspension

        · that the purpose of suspension is to investigate and is not an assumption of guilt

        · remaining on full pay and benefits unless your contract of employment says otherwise in the event of you being suspended.

However it seems from what you have said that maybe this has not happend in your situation?
