Are you worried about your new "promoted" job because you have seen it advertised online?

How long was the probation period in your new job?

Do you know when the job was posted? It may have been posted a while ago before they decided to promote you and they have forgotten to take the advert down.

I presume when your old company was taken over you were TUPE'd across to the new company and have continuous employment from when you started at the old company.
