I quit a job without notice after only working for the company for 3 days, I hadn't signed a contract.

Can I be sued by the company?

Since you have been there for less than a month then there is no statutory notice period to give, however if in the 3 days you were given a contract what does it say about notice periods? If there was a requirement to give notice then since this is greater than statutory the notice period required by the contract that is what you should have given.

Yes the company could sue you but I would suggest that they would find it hard to prove losses and if they went through a recruitment process to find you then they may have "runner up" candidates they could approach to replace you quite quickly.

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

It makes no difference whether you signed it or not you had been given it and you would have been aware of the notice period requirements. A contract of employment usually starts and is therefore enforceable when an offer of employment is accepted and by starting to work for the company you effectively asserted acceptance of the terms and conditions of employment.

My latter point at post #4 still stands.

That aside quitting after 3 days I do think your employer is going to sue you. However you should make sure that you get paid for the 3 days you worked and receive a P45.
