  • offer letter v contract

I was offered a new job recently. In the offer letter it says my salary is £36k, but on my contract of employment it states it is actually £37k (which is what the job advert also said).

Which is document is correct/ has the strongest legal authority?

thanks for that. So what law and section should I quote to my employer if they insist that it is the offer letter that is the legally binding document?

The contract is the binding agreement between yourself and your employer and matches the advert, an offer letter is only that, "An offer".
