  • Financial probity check

    Hi all
ive been offered a job for a financial company and am having to do a pre-employment screening check through Security Watchdog. They need to do a Financial Probity Check and I have a Ccj which I’m currently paying off. I just want to know if having a ccj will affect my position at the company? I’m actually really worried about it.

    Thanks

    Hi Charliday,
It must be a worry for you, all you can do is be honest with them on the check. I found this advice on the net. Sure if anyone else has any experience of this sort of thing they will post soon.
"ensure that any poor credit history is declared to the screening agency during the process.
Moreover, demonstrate you have steps in place to deal with the issue, i.e. evidence that you are in control of the situation. So if there are problems, be upfront and have a plan."

I am a qualified solicitor and am happy to try and assist informally, where needed.

Any posts I make on LegalBeagles are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as legal advice. Any practical advice I give is without liability. I do not represent people on the forum.

If in doubt you should always seek professional face to face legal advice.
