  • Holiday allowance

Hi - just going to start new job so I will be working 5 hrs a day, 5 days a week Mon-Fri. My holiday allowance is 25 days pro rata so how many days holiday can I actually book per year?

Statutory number of days is 28 days. Work out what you are entitled to using this page.

Following on from ostell post I presume that bank holidays are in addition to 25 days just to ensure you are getting the statutory minimum of 28 days? Pro-rata will be applicable for staff who do not work 5 days per week i.e. if someone worked 3 days per week then the entitlement for that person would be 25/5x3=15 days. Even though you are only working hours per day you are still working a full 5 day week.

      Hope that makes sense.
